We have an exciting new vacancy for a Wedding Coordinator to join our team at The Grand Blackpool Hotel. Located on Blackpool’s famous North Promenade, this central Blackpool hotel boasts 274 bedrooms and is just a short walk from Blackpool Centre.
As a Wedding Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all aspects of wedding events, ensuring that every detail aligns with the couple's vision while providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unforgettable experiences, be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and be flexible to work weekends to ensure you can support and coordinate any weddings or events as needed.

Your duties will include:
* Selling conferences and events over the telephone, face-to-face and via email
* Building and maintaining the booking details on the database.
* Meeting clients both existing and potential to show them around our venue with confidence and enthusiasm.
* Collaborating with couples to understand their vision and preferences for their wedding day.
* Developing detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and supplier lists.
* Coordinating with preferred suppliers such as florists, caterers, and photographers to ensure seamless execution.
* Managing logistics on the day of the event, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
* Providing guidance on décor, themes, and overall aesthetics to enhance the wedding experience.
* Assisting in upselling additional services or products that may enhance the event.
* Maintaining open communication with clients throughout the planning process to provide updates and address any concerns.
* Assisting in the setup of wedding fayres to showcase our venue and being present on the day of the event to greet guests and ensure everything runs smoothly.
* Having a passion for hospitality and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Maintaining and updating our competitor analysis by visiting wedding fayres and meeting new suppliers.
* Demonstrating strong organisational skills with an ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
* Having a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
* Experience in fundraising is a plus, particularly for events with charitable components.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Familiarity with hotel operations can be beneficial for coordinating venue logistics.
* Experience in hospitality or restaurant management is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and guests professionally.
