The Logistics Sales Coordinator will support the sales team by being the first initial point of contact for new and existing one-off client queries; with a particular emphasis on one-off quotes for all transport modes and services, offered by the organisation to meet the client’s requirements. This role will require attention to detail and experience in sales administration and a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards problem solving.
2. Contribute effectively in a team environment.
3. Book meetings with clients with larger potential.
4. Upsell services wherever possible.
5. Create and maintain a relationship with both clients, prospects, and Key Account Managers.
6. Develop and manage new client quotes to achieve targets set.
7. Day-to-day quote management and follow up to close business.
8. Work with internal teams to resolve client’s issues as needed.
9. Maintenance of current customers: Including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive and providing excellent service. Also, soliciting for other business from customers.
10. Have awareness of current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.
11. Ensure accuracy of data in Cargowise CRM and other programs as needed.
12. Marketing – Producing content and sales campaigns via Cargowise CRM and working within the sales department to promote offers and target markets to attract new customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Experience:
1. Experience with transportation and logistics industries (Preferred).
2. Awareness of the Freight Forwarding industry (Preferred).
3. Experience of working in a proactive sales role either on the phone or face-to-face.
4. Outstanding organisational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Demonstrate an ability to negotiate both internally and externally.
7. Problem solving ability.
8. Confident and tenacious.
9. Flexible approach to work.
10. Attention to detail.
Education and Qualifications:
A level or Equivalent.
