Role Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning speciality food and drink wholesaler as the newest member of our customer service team. Championing customer sectors, you will be working closely with our customer base, supply chain and regional account managers to help grow sales. This main purpose of the role is to assist Cotswold Fayre with growing customers’ accounts through taking orders, up-selling additional and new products, communicating promotions & supplier initiatives whilst always providing excellent customer care. Key responsibilities (but not limited to): · Input and manage weekly sales orders from the existing customer base via telephone, email, and web to a deadline. Ensuring all fields are accurately completed on the system and updated as required. · Maintain a good understanding of catalogue products and promotions, to identify opportunities to upsell to existing customers. · Support sales initiatives by communicating these with customers regularly. These will include new products, promotions, and sampling opportunities amongst others. · Respond to customer requests to product queries completely to customer satisfaction. · Answer in-bound telephone calls from customers · Provide internal support for Cotswold Fayre’s Regional Account Managers (RAMs) · Set up new accounts to company guidelines, advise customers of initial delivery information and inform sales team of all new contacts. · Make sure all customer records (including CRM data) are updated immediately and kept up to date on our in-house software. Ensure all reporting requirements are adhered to in a prompt, accurate manner for both day-to-day work & in response to ad-hoc requests. To be able to sell to customers the business and environmental benefits of increased consolidation through Cotswold Fayre To present the friendly and professional face of Cotswold Fayre to customers About You: The successful candidate will have a passion for food and drink, ideally be familiar with the speciality food and drink sector, however candidates from other sectors will absolutely be considered. You are determined to achieve success and will understand the benefit of relationship building, customer service and sales development. Career History & Experience: · Experience in sales and/or customer service is more important than academic qualifications for this role. · At least 3 years’ experience preferably in sales and/or customer service role. · Ability to manage a large volume of accounts in an organised and structured manner. · IT competency with experience of Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential as is a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
