An exciting new opportunity has come up at a well-established Italian Restaurant near Manchester.
You will be working alongside an experienced team of chefs and your primary role will be in the preparation of the cakes, pastries, Italian bakes, and puddings, including creamy tiramisu, panna cotta, and orange polenta cake.
The right candidate will not only need to have the experience but also the passion and creativity required to progress the business.
We’re looking for someone who:
Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen and liaise with the executive and head chefs to ensure a successful working environment.
Prepare ingredients and handle baking and other kitchen equipment.
Create pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
Develop new recipes for seasonal menus.
Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure a beautiful and tasteful presentation.
Meet with customers to discuss details and plan custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings.
Monitor the stock of baking ingredients.
Order new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section.
