Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging drama lessons in line with the Welsh Curriculum for Wales. Foster creativity, confidence, and teamwork through performance-based learning. Direct and produce school productions, showcases, and extracurricular activities that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Wales. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to meet individual learning needs. Encourage students to participate in drama competitions, external opportunities, and community-based arts initiatives. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, particularly for students facing social and economic challenges. Work closely with pastoral and support teams to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or equivalent. A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field. Proven experience teaching drama within the Welsh education system and familiarity with the Curriculum for Wales. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire young minds, particularly in an area of deprivation. Experience directing school productions or drama clubs is desirable. Understanding of the challenges faced by students in disadvantaged communities and a commitment to equity in education.
