Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen.
* Assist with menu planning and creation, ensuring seasonal and local produce is used to its full potential.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
* Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and maintaining cost efficiencies.
* Help oversee event catering, ensuring smooth delivery of service during weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and inspire a team.
* Excellent knowledge of modern culinary techniques and trends.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet high standards of service.
* Passion for creating top-quality dishes and a keen eye for detail.
* Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in professional cookery).
* A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings.
