We are seeking a Head Chef to deliver fresh Scottish produce, creating delicious dishes in a local Bar & Restaurant. Key responsibilities include kitchen management, menu development, inventory control, staff training, and food safety.
### Key Responsibilities:
* Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Menu Development and Planning: Create and update menus to align with seasonal ingredients.
* Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food stocks and costs, order supplies based on forecasts, and minimize waste.
* Staff Training and Supervision: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Set standards, assign tasks, and manage rotas.
* Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure kitchen adheres to health and safety, sanitation, cleaning, and storage of ingredients.
### Required Skills:
* Two years minimum of Head Chef experience
* Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
* Critical thinker and problem solver
* Good Financial management skills
* Experience delivering themed events would be beneficial
