As our Airworthiness Records Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and availability of critical aircraft records, supporting the airworthiness and reliability of our operations. Your expertise in managing technical documentation and compliance processes will help us maintain the highest standards of operational readiness and ensure seamless transitions for our Airbus fleet, setting the benchmark for excellence in the industry.
Working in a dynamic environment, the Airworthiness & Records Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of continuing airworthiness technical records for the easyJet fleet. This encompasses aircraft inductions, records verification, configuration control for airframe and complex components, through to end of lease and sale activities. The role works closely with multiple engineering technical teams, as well as regulators, manufacturers, and specialist third parties to deliver specialist technical information in a digital environment.
Overseeing project delivery plans and managing the continuous improvement of existing products and services to maintain the highest standards in airline safety and performance.
Your Mission:
As the Airworthiness & Records Manager, you’ll take charge of managing our Airworthiness and Records Department to ensure seamless technical and operational excellence. Your work will be vital in maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness, compliance, and operational readiness across our Airbus fleet. From ensuring smooth inductions of new aircraft to managing lease return processes, your expertise will directly contribute to keeping our customers moving safely, reliably, and on time.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
1. Lead the Airworthiness & Records Department: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
2. Aircraft Inductions: Manage the on-time delivery of new and dry lease aircraft into revenue service.
3. Document Verification: Ensure maintenance documents are verified daily and discrepancies resolved according to procedures and regulations.
4. Component Management: Accurately record and certify components in AMOS, supporting control and release to service.
5. Configuration Updates: Ensure aircraft configuration data is up-to-date within AMOS and flydocs for compliance and reporting.
6. Safety Oversight: Perform safety and risk management assessments, ensuring continuous compliance and operational integrity.
7. Lease Returns: Execute complex SLA processes related to aircraft lease return conditions.
8. Team Leadership: Conduct performance appraisals, oversee sub-teams, and ensure team leads meet objectives.
9. Budget Management: Provide detailed budget plans and maintain financial oversight.
10. Supplier Management: Oversee third-party supplier contracts and ensure service delivery aligns with SLAs.
11. Procedure Management: Develop and maintain technical procedures and training guides in line with regulatory updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
1. Leadership Expertise: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple technical teams, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously.
2. In-depth understanding of EASA, FOCA, and CAA regulations.
3. Expertise in Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, LLPs, OCCM components, and assembly configuration.
4. Fleet Management Experience: Proven track record in managing large fleets and delivering aircraft records for revenue service and lease returns.
5. Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AMOS or equivalent aircraft maintenance systems and MS Office suite.
6. Risk Management Skills: Experience conducting fleet-wide risk assessments and performing root cause analyses.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMPs) and MPDs.
8. Detail-Oriented Problem Solver: Attention to detail with the ability to manage complex projects to tight deadlines.
9. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing suppliers, customers, and lessors.

This full-time role will be based in London Gatwick Airport and will be 40 hours per week.
