Junior Kitchen Manager
Department: Restaurants & QSR
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Bognor Regis
Description
About The Role
We're looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Restaurant & QSR Department based in Bognor Regis.
Reporting to the Senior Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a team of up to 10 team members per shift. Making our guests smile is at the heart of our values, and you will ensure this happens consistently by keeping guests as the central focus of all operational decisions. This will include resource planning, recruitment and selection, ensuring that we have the very best team in place to deliver an amazing service.
You will be passionate about exceptional experiences and will monitor this regularly to develop action plans in your venue with a focus on continuous improvement. Financial performance will play an important part in your role, and you will deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specifications. You will also support the accountability of food hygiene standards and health and safety, inline with legislation and company policies.
About You
We are looking for individuals with experience in a similar level role. We would also love to hear from you if you're looking to step up to your next role in the kitchen.
You will need to be hard-working and determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and seeks better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards.
We are looking for candidates who are energetic and enthusiastic, high-spirited and fun-loving, and who understand their role and the value they can add to the guest experience by unleashing the potential of the team.
You should have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast-paced and busy kitchen environment.
As with any chef role at this level, you will also be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
We think our chefs at Butlin's are something special, and we know our guests love to keep returning to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The cherry on top for the successful candidate is to be fun, keen to join in, work as part of a team, and be interested in ensuring our guests have a great time, every time.
Typical working hours: Working five days over seven, covering shifts of 40 hours per week and are part of a bonus scheme.
