Head Chef - Winchester - £17.54 per hour - Term Time Only!

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, 5/7 days, alternate weekends - no late nights!
The Role:
A multi-site catering operation is looking to recruit a Head Chef to work at a contract catering facility in the Winchester area. The Chef will work under the direction of the General Manager and Exec Chef. This is a hands-on cooking role but there will also be paperwork responsibilities.
This role involves a mixture of either 7am-3pm or 11am-7pm shifts with alternate weekend working.
* Contracted to 40 hours per week but paid for every hour, so overtime is available to increase your package.
* Term time only work for 34 weeks, get paid for 39 weeks!
* No late nights, finish by 7pm.
Standards are high, and meals are prepared daily from fresh ingredients. The ability to work quickly according to the requirements of the kitchen team is essential for this role. The Chef will be expected to have flexible availability.
Responsibilities:
* Learn all aspects of food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the catering management team.
* Be a quick learner who can work under pressure to succeed in this role.
* Maintain high standards of personal and food hygiene.
* Ideally NVQ Level 1 and 2 qualified; however, this is not essential as long as you have previous kitchen experience.
