The Role:
Production Kitchen Manager represents Management on the factory floor. They are expected to actively promote compliance with all company rules and regulations and to promote a safe, clean, efficient working environment.

Objectives:
* Managing daily production processes in Mixing room and WIP room areas to ensure efficiency targets are met on each day of production.
* Setting up daily production schedules for mixing room and WIP room operations in line with labour cost targets.
* Controlling ingredient and packaging flow in mixing room and WIP room, ensuring yield and waste targets are met.
* Monitoring ingredient, mix, and product quality standards.
* Providing regular mixing room production information and performance reports to the Production Manager.
* Managing Mixing Room and WIP Room operators, including setting up goals and targets.
* Monitoring training of new and existing staff in Mixing room and WIP room areas.
* Ensuring all mixes produced according to specifications and meet all our quality requirements.
* Maintaining good housekeeping practices in Mixing room and WIP room areas to control waste at a minimum level.
* Leasing with other departments such as order desk and purchasing to ensure service level targets are met.
* Reporting any maintenance-related issues or potential issues to the senior management team in a timely manner.
* Ensuring all paperwork is filled with correct information on each production day in Mixing room and WIP Room areas.
* Ensuring Mixing room operators are trained on how to operate machinery and equipment.
* Ensuring weighing scales are in use while making mixes.
Key Responsibilities:
Product
1. Meet the agreed target as set for your area.
2. Ensure any mix is used up - carry out the company NO WASTE policy.
3. Cooperate with the Production Supervisor, Production Managers, Team Leaders, and Production Line Leaders to ensure smooth running of daily production.
4. Quality and consistency of product is critical - THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY - report any problems which affect quality and consistency.
5. Ensure that all ingredient containers are batch coded with correct codes.
6. Be an efficient cooperative team member.
People
Reporting to Senior Production Manager.
Facilitating needs in the stores or dispatch areas when required.
Other duties from time to time to help in other departments.
