Are you a passionate and commercially minded Head Chef looking for a role with a great work-life balance? We're seeking a talented Head Chef to take charge of a busy, fast-paced, and established kitchen, delivering high-quality, seasonal menus and an exceptional dining experience for the guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dining service.
2. Managing stock control and ordering to ensure smooth service.
3. Creating and implementing seasonal menus, with the current menu running until Spring/Summer.
4. Overseeing Food Safety and Hygiene, allergens, and Health & Safety compliance to meet EHO standards.
5. Running service for up to 40 covers, with a mix of pre-booked and walk-in diners enjoying three courses.
6. Managing and developing the kitchen team, conducting appraisals and supporting their growth.
7. Controlling and monitoring budgets and expenditure to optimise financial return.
Essential Requirements:
1. Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
2. Minimum Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene.
3. Previous budget and team management experience.
Desirable:
1. Experience working within AA Rosette awarded kitchens.
What's on Offer:
1. Core hours: 11:30am to 7:30pm, (37 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7). Working predominantly Tuesday - Saturday (occasional Sundays, to meet the needs of the business).
2. Salary: £33,551.49 per annum.
