Responsibilities
1. Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
2. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
3. Develop innovative menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences.
4. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
5. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximise profitability.
6. Train new staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
7. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
8. Help create a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting.
2. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
3. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
4. Experience in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
6. A passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to cooking.
