Job Title: Head Chef
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Head Chef to join our team working in Claro Barracks, Ripon HG4 2RD.
You will be responsible for the kitchen operation, cost efficiency and production of innovative quality food/menus in line with agreed budgets to improve sales.

Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years.
2. Must have legal right to work in the UK.
3. Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
Reliable transport is necessary due to the location of the site and limited public transport.

Annual salary of £30,388.46.
Full-time position of 40 hours per week, shift pattern 5 days over 7 (including some weekends). Shifts between 07:00 and 20:00, leaving your evenings free.

A Day in the Life of a Head Chef:
Train and lead culinary and kitchen employees to use standard methodology food production techniques and ensure quality in the final presentation of food.
Identify training needs of staff and carry out relevant training in new procedures, methods of working, or use of new equipment and cleaning products. Implement new company policy decisions and train staff accordingly. Maintain all staff records including training records, shift opening/closing checklists, and performance data.
Develop innovative solutions in the most financially efficient way possible.
Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships. Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends.
Empower team to deliver excellence in customer service. Investigate concerns and respond to needs relating to the catering service and take corrective action.
Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals: managing waste, standard menus, recipes, and ingredients through handling customer-driven menus and labour standards. Understand end-to-end supply chain and procurement processes and systems, ensuring only authorized suppliers are used.
You Will Be Set Up for Success If You Have:
1. NVQ Levels 1 & 2 in culinary skills.
2. Clean Enhanced DBS.
3. Experience in a similar educational environment.
4. A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
5. Proactive in attitude.
6. Lived in the UK for the past 3 years with legal right to work in the UK and able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
