Production Kitchen Manager – Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 per annum
My client is a rapidly growing food production company looking to bring in a new passionate and dedicated Production Kitchen Manager to manage their food manufacturing team, guiding and managing a large team ensuring consistency across the many meals they produce daily and food production standards. This is a management role and you will be entirely responsible for this department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Managing the team of around 30 team members in producing consistently high-quality packaged meals at a large volume daily.
2. Ensuring all HAACP, COSHH and other food hygiene and health and safety standards and procedures are followed, in line with industry and company policy – this is KEY to this role.
3. Managing the P&L budget, monitoring GP.
4. Assisting and adapting with the growth of the company.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience leading a busy industrial kitchen or production kitchen.
2. Experience in managing a large kitchen brigade, upwards of 20 team members.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of HAACP, COSHH and RIDDOR both in theory and practically.
4. Experience with SALSA or BRCE standards is desirable but not essential.
5. Strong administrative kitchen background, in regards to food hygiene and safety.
6. Experience in a catering production company or airport catering management level is ideal.
You will be flexible and work to the needs of the business. Working hours are 8am until 4pm – although this can be discussed at interview.
