Sales Executive - Modernization
Our Northern sales team are looking for a self-starter with solid experience of delivering exceptional sales growth in a similar sector. You might come from within the lift industry and already have a great understanding of lift repairs/minor modernisation; or perhaps you have a track record in account management/business development from another field. Either way, we’d love to find someone with a proactive approach to developing meaningful, value-focussed relationships with our customers. We believe that to best serve our customers we need to understand their whole business, their challenges and their goals – so whatever your background you’ll need to be curious, authentic and passionate about building sustainable partnerships.
Whilst you don’t need to be an engineer, this role would suit someone with field sales experience and would also particularly suit those who can understand mechanical technology, is digitally savvy, and comfortable with communicating complex information/proposals to a wide range of stakeholders, from residential building owners/occupants to commercial/retail Facility Managers and a range of industry experts. You’ll be hungry for success, collaborative in your approach and able to influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities
1. Managing existing portfolio for small to medium sized repairs.
2. Development of existing and new customer relationships.
3. Proactive identification and creation of new sales leads.
4. Upselling of KONE digital service solutions.
5. Accountability over agreed business objectives, sales budget, and pricing targets in the designated market area.
6. Collaboration with the rest of KONE team to improve customer satisfaction.
7. Timely and accurate reporting of sales and customer data.
Skills and Experience Required
1. Systematic solution selling approach to selling.
2. Comfortable surveying lift equipment including working in the lift shaft and machine rooms. Full training including access and egress will be given.
3. Customer centric mindset - Desire to understand what creates value to our customers and courage to experiment and embrace innovative thinking.
4. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills to gain access and work with the right external and internal networks.
5. Previous experience and results in Sales and customer relationship management.
6. Engineering or construction background is beneficial.
7. A background as a technical surveyor is beneficial.
8. Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
9. Basic knowledge of contractual and financial terms.
10. Good IT skills, CRM (Salesforce).
