How to Excel in the Role
You will excel in this pivotal role as a Senior Sous Chef by showcasing exceptional people management skills and the ability to
deputise effectively for the Kitchen Manager. Experience in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including everything from rota
planning to a general understanding of costing and menu planning will help you to hit the ground running. You will be instrumental
in maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency for our guests. Your leadership will ensure operational
excellence, with a focus on adhering to standard recipes, production methods, and presentation guidelines, while supporting food
provision across all areas and minimising wastage.
What You Will Bring
To thrive in this role, you will need at least two years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment, along with a
BTEC or NVQ level 2 equivalent in Hospitality Management or professional cookery. Your comprehensive knowledge of food safety and
hygiene regulations, combined with your exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, will be crucial to succeed. You
should possess strong leadership and people management skills, experience in developing high-performing teams, and the flexibility
to work weekends and evenings. Desirable skills include Level 2 Food Safety certification, a current First Aid at Work
