We are seeking a Head Chef for an iconic town centre hotel which has a large wedding and event trade throughout the year, a restaurant for guests providing breakfast and dinner, and a bar/lounge area providing afternoon teas and bar snacks. This is a very busy kitchen cooking fresh food daily with seasonal menus. This Head Chef will be passionate about food, involved in producing fabulous menus and working closely with the catering and sales teams.
Ideally, this chef will require some events experience due to some high-volume events. This is a great opportunity to be creative as well as working for a great company.
Responsibilities:
* Events experience necessary
* Creative on menus to be able to deliver to different client requirements
* A good team player who can develop the current brigade
* A head chef who can collaborate with the management team
* 5 days over 7 including some weekends
* Outgoing friendly personality is key
* Paperwork, health and safety, and purchasing systems knowledge essential
