TwentyAI is partnering with a leading global insurance company, recognised for its innovative risk solutions across sectors such as marine, professional liability, and trade credit. They are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their dynamic technology team in Leeds. The company operates across multiple international markets, leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide top-tier insurance products and services. This Data Engineer will pay a key role in supporting the new Master Data Management services they are rolling out. This will be a global facing role giving you the chance to work with business and technical users across the world. Key Responsibilities : Design, develop, and test new system features and applications using Azure Cloud technologies. Support the roll out of the new Master Data Management Services as well as the development of the code from the engineering team. Advise on approach to Data Governance and Management, making use of Ataccama. Provide support for multiple applications, ensuring seamless performance and quick resolution of any technical issues. Build and maintain data pipelines and integrate data from various sources into cloud environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. Optimise system performance and drive continuous improvement in data processing and cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide 2nd and 3rd line application support as needed. Required Skills : Proven experience in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and related technologies. Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and data pipeline architectures. Proficient with data management/governance platforms, Ataccama is ideal but can also look at Collibra and similar tools in this area. Hands-on experience with data integration and working in a cloud-based environment. Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and improve systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. A background in insurance, finance, or similar sectors is advantageous but not required. This is a hybrid position with at least 2 days a week in the Leeds office.
