Full Job Description
Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial temperature sensors. Electronics, mechanical or IT Sales background would be ideal.
What you will do:
You will manage all aspects of the inbound enquiries and where needed outbound activity, responsible for sending quotes out within agreed SLAs and timely follow-up, aiming to meet and exceed the desired sales targets for growth. Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and prospects, reporting to the MD and having close working relationships with the workshop management and team, marketing, and other management team members.
Objectives:
* Meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
* Increase the conversion ratios from quotes to work won by value.
* Ensure consistent, accurate and timely follow-up on all enquiries.
* Maintain overall control and oversight of the entire pipeline, ensuring that the pipeline of convertible opportunities is in line with targets.
* Build and maintain knowledge of why opportunities are lost such that we can improve our sales processes from an understanding of real data.
* Nurture existing client relationships through good communication (predominantly over the phone).
* Look for opportunities within existing and new clients to push sales solutions through proactive business development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accepting and acknowledging all inbound enquiries.
* Responding to clients promptly, quoting jobs accurately and swiftly as possible.
* Guiding existing customers and prospects on product solutions for the client’s required application, and escalating the matter internally to gain assistance with more complex cases.
* Logging all contacts and enquiries with 100% accuracy, into the CRM to enable quoting, follow-ups and order-taking.
* Managing the CRM, such that the pipeline and all opportunities/enquiries are fully up to date at all times.
* Quoting manufacturing and distribution jobs promptly.
* Providing monthly sales and pipeline KPIs to the senior management team meeting.
* Providing weekly KPIs and pipeline reports to the Managing Director.
* Weekly meeting with line management to talk about the prior week’s KPIs and plans/goals for the week ahead.
* Occasional travel to attend and/or help exhibit at trade shows to promote the company.
* Liaising with finance and operations daily to check when payments have been settled and schedule work within the workshop.
What you will need:
Experience/Qualifications:
* Sales administration experience, Computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Communication skills (written, oral and face-to-face).
