As our Firearms Training Records Manager, you’ll make sure that critical training records are inputted correctly to allow officers to be operationally deployed. To operate effectively as a police force, we need efficient systems to log detailed training records and data. These records cover everything from firearms training records, driver and dog licences, to armoury stocks and exercises. You will be responsible to ensure effective delivery of up to date firearms, dogs and driver training records in compliance with the appropriate licencing standards/requirements through effective management of the system and operators, thereby ensuring officers are deployed in accordance with their operational and occupational competence. You’ll also work with the system users, making sure that training meets best practice standards. With the chance to help develop business critical systems, you’ll play a key part in our success and in maintaining our firearms training licence. Ideally, you’ll have experience of firearms systems, policing practices and procedures. You’ll certainly know about IT systems and have good technical know-how. With this expertise, you’ll provide expert guidance and training to the rest of the organisation, drawing on strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
