The Role
Punjana Ltd is seeking a skilled Sales Executive to drive key account sales growth across Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (ROI). This role focuses on managing and growing established accounts while also identifying new business opportunities to elevate our presence in NI and ROI. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing an effective account management strategy that aligns with our growth and profitability objectives. Additionally, the role includes office-based responsibilities to support commercial functions through regular coordination with internal teams on deliveries, stock availability, and sales reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute actively to Punjana's short, medium, and long-term business objectives within the Commercial Team.
* Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to set and achieve challenging KPIs, construct sales forecasts, and monitor sales performance.
* Manage key accounts at the head office level, optimizing sales and profitability while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Communicate market requirements throughout the business to keep the team aligned with customer needs.
* Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, liaising with buyers and stakeholders to foster robust business relationships.
* Conduct regular business reviews, adopting a proactive approach to drive sales growth and foster customer relationships.
* Provide timely and efficient customer service to meet customer objectives.
* Generate and analyze sales activity reports to assist with planning and inform strategic business decisions.
* Identify new commercial opportunities and convert them into long-term strategic partnerships.
* Introduce prospective customers to Punjana’s products through cold calls, scheduled meetings, and presentations.
* Provide product guidance, negotiate within pricing guidelines, and agree on credit terms with customers, keeping profit margins in mind.
* Manage price files, promotions, category reviews, account plans, and terms negotiations effectively.
* Monitor customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive and growth-ready product lineup.
* Build and maintain a database of customer and market information, staying up-to-date on relevant market and consumer trends.
* Represent Punjana at trade shows and customer events to expand brand awareness and secure new business contacts.
* Assist with collection efforts for overdue payments.
* Collaborate with internal teams on delivery and stock availability issues.
* Support the administration of the sales team, including account reporting and managing third-party portal information.
Candidate Profile
* Experience: Strong background in key account management and business development within the FMCG sector across NI and ROI.
* Sales Achievement: Demonstrated success in driving sales and implementing growth-focused business plans.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to review, analyze, and present sales data effectively; experience with sales-related financial data such as profit margins and cost analysis.
* Relationship Building: Skilled at forming and maintaining long-term business relationships with key customers.
* Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a cohesive team.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
* Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with effective planning and time management skills.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential, and experience with stock management or sales management tools is an advantage. PowerPoint proficiency is also required for presentation preparation.
* Motivation: A drive to excel in a target-based environment.
This position requires flexibility and extensive travel across Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to the ROI. The Sales Executive will be office-based at least 1-2 days per week, supporting the Commercial Manager in sales administrative tasks and other activities to enhance the commercial function.
Additional Requirements:
* A valid driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.

Pay: £35,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
