About us: St Austell Golf Club is a James Braid designed private members club located just outside St Austell in Cornwall. Our work environment is professional with a fun and lively atmosphere. We aim to cater for our members, functions/events and visitors to the golf club. We have a Clubhouse Menu, Function and Events Menus.
Main Purpose: Provision of a high standard catering service for the members, their guests and other individuals and societies who visit the club, as set by the Golf Club Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and manage the kitchen team effectively and develop talent within our workforce.
* Create and manage staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage as set by the Executive Committee, considering peak periods, events and seasonal variations in business.
* Ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation across all service periods.
* Source high quality ingredients from reliable suppliers and negotiate favourable terms while maintaining quality standards.
* Create and oversee special menus for matches, golf societies, events, private functions and seasonal celebrations.
* Actively responsible for the general cleanliness of working areas within the kitchen in accordance with HACCP.
* Ensure that deliveries are checked and signed off and manage stock levels to minimise waste through proper storage, stock rotation and inventory management.
* Work within agreed budgets and achieve financial targets as set by the Club Executive Committee.
* Ensure full compliance with Environmental Health regulations and maintain up-to-date documentation for all food safety procedures including temperature control.
* Compliance with the staff handbook, contracts of employment & HR policies.
* Undertake any other duties which may be considered a reasonable request.
