Salary:
£40,000 per annum or negotiable DOE (40 hours per week)
A flexible approach to hours will be necessary, but will consist of 5 days per week, including some Saturdays and evenings, and will be subject to change depending on work schedules
Job description:
We are an events company based in Willingham, Cambs. We specialise in, but are not limited to, Italian food, catering for weddings large and small, corporate events and intimate private dining experiences.
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate head chef to manage the kitchen team and work closely with the Executive Chef Director to produce the food for our events.
Responsibilities would include:
* Work with a team in a busy fast paced environment to produce great food.
* Help to receive and check in food and drink deliveries.
* Manage a small team to ensure all food is prepared in line with company standards.
* Managing the team to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and regulations.
* Ensure all relevant health and safety and food safety procedures are adhered to and relevant paper work completed on a day-to-day basis.
* Costing of menus
* Follow recipe guidelines accurately to produce food at the required standard.
* Monitoring of stock levels
* Leading a kitchen team at events
Essential Requirements:
* Full clean driving license
* Possess the Right to Work in the UK
* Passionate about creating exceptional food
* The ability to manage and deliver large scale events
* Ability to follow specs for food preparation
* Ability to manage a team
* Reliability and commitment to the role
* Customer service skills
* Positive can do attitude
* Basic requirements include knife skills, high quality and speed output.
* The ability to use initiative and work independently is required.
