Learning & Development Manager MCS Group is thrilled to be working in partnership with an award winning organisation in the Craigavon area, as they wish to appoint a Learning & Development Manager on a fulltime, permanent basis, in a newly created role. The role Reporting to the Head of HR, the Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for evaluating training needs on site, reviewing current needs, practices and delivering a training development plan. The Learning & Development Managerwill be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the delivery of a professional Learning & Delivery service. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an organisation who continue to go from strength to strength The main duties and responsibilities: Monitor and implement learning and development needs following analysis of skills gaps and business needs Ensuring the timely coordination and delivery of company inductions for all new starters Support in the creation and implementation of an effective L&D strategy Support and lead on L&D projects Delivering in-house training sessions when required, including compliance refresher training Managing all practical training requirements and external course bookings Building and maintaining effective links with training providers Working with different business teams on embedding a learning culture within the organisation To ensure systems are accurate and continuous improvement measures implemented To support with succession planning Building strong, collaborative working relationships across the business and with external stakeholders The above list is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties as may be reasonably expected. The successful candidate: Essential: 3rd level education or similar A training/ L&D qualification 5 years of working in an L&D environment A proven track record in the design and delivery of a blended L&D service offering learning outcomes with a tangible business impact Naturally creative and passionate about Learning and Development, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic approach Strong influencing and negotiating skills and able to motivate and inspire diverse groups of staff Experience of managing conflicting deadlines and priorities to meet the requirements of a large, complex site Desirable: Work experience in a Manufacturing/FMCG organisation. Experience with supporting and developing people. Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects.
