Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. You will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Duties
1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency in food production.
2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations during service.
3. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings that reflect current culinary trends.
4. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations.
5. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimise waste.
6. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
7. Assist in the planning and execution of special events or catering functions as required.
Skills
1. Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with a strong background in food preparation and production.
2. Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
3. Strong leadership abilities, capable of supervising and motivating a team effectively.
4. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety regulations.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
6. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to multitask efficiently.
7. A collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.

Pay: £27,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
