What you’ll do: Order provisions according to Sodexo's ordering policy using Drive or nominated Sodexo suppliers for non-food items. Ensure kitchen and food service areas are clean and well-maintained, reporting issues to client and helpdesk, and ensuring resolution. Complete required Sodexo SMS paperwork (temperatures, electrical checks, COSHH, HACCP, etc.). Pass all internal and external audits, including safeguard, EHO, and Nuffield audits. Complete monthly billing and close accounts on time. Comply with reasonable requests from line manager within the required time frame. Effectively manage staff performance to achieve service excellence and quality results. Train all team members using Sodexo GREAT training cards, induction, Nuffield training, and competency observations. Complete weekly rotas on time and manage labor within budget. Perform well under pressure, maintaining professionalism and resilience. Be a dedicated team player, striving for excellence and leading by example. Be tactful, discreet, and maintain safeguarding and professional standards. Maintain a smart, professional appearance, representing the hospital positively. Manage emails and correspond in a timely, professional manner. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Be self-motivated and able to work independently without direction. Adapt and be flexible with working patterns when required. What you bring: Food Hygiene Certificate level 3 (preferable) At least 3 years’ experience in high-volume catering Previous experience at Sous Chef level and shift leadership Management experience, including team development Excellent culinary skills Valid ‘Intermediate Food Hygiene’ certificate Excellent spoken and written English Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Strong leadership and communication skills with all stakeholders Good IT skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel High standards of personal presentation Experience with food allergies, special diets, and labelling Up-to-date with the latest trends and industry developments What we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
