Salary: £37,000 PA to £40,000 PA (Dependent on Experience)

1. Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00
2. Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00, Saturday 07:30 - 12:30

Role Overview:
As a Senior Sales Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and delivering exceptional service to customers across multiple channels, including telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Your primary objective will be to exceed customer expectations, boost branch sales, and contribute significantly to the overall gross profit of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate effectively within a team environment, embodying the company's vision, values, and aspirations at all times.
2. Cultivate strong relationships with customers to optimize sales opportunities and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
3. Utilise your initiative to identify and resolve customer and product-related issues, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
4. Proactively identify new sales opportunities through market insight and customer feedback, contributing to the maximization of sales and profit margins.
5. Adhere strictly to company policies concerning computer systems, procedures, and administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
6. Liaise with suppliers' representatives as necessary to ensure product availability and resolve any queries that may arise.
7. Continuously develop personal product knowledge to provide informed recommendations and elevate the customer experience.
8. Share valuable insights about customers and projects with fellow team members to identify potential sales opportunities across different product ranges and regions.
9. Actively safeguard against theft of company goods by maintaining a security-conscious approach at all times.
10. Ensure a proactive stance on health and safety for both staff and customers, reporting and addressing any potential concerns or issues promptly.
11. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company to support operational excellence.
Specific Experience & Skills Required:
1. Minimum of GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales role within the building products industry, demonstrating a solid track record in sales performance.
3. Comprehensive product knowledge is essential to effectively meet customer needs and drive sales.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence customers effectively.
5. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment and meet or exceed sales targets.
