The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in building data models, engineering robust ETL pipelines, and creating data quality solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to codify business rules, integrate structured and unstructured data sources, and support the broader innovation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement scalable data models and pipelines
* Extract, cleanse, and transform data from various sources
* Map structured and unstructured data to business models
* Develop and optimise ETL processes and data quality frameworks
* Collaborate with business teams to understand data flows and translate them into technical solutions
* Integrate with APIs for data acquisition and processing
* Apply Agile/Scrum principles in project delivery
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in data engineering, systems analysis, or data analysis
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
* Languages & Tools: Python, SQL, APIs, Tableau/Power BI, Talend/Informatica, AWS
* Databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL
* Cloud: AWS (preferred), with working knowledge of cloud-based data solutions
* Nice to Have: Experience with graph databases, Hadoop/Spark, or enterprise data lake environments
