We specialise in offering Income Protection to healthcare and veterinary professionals—whether they work full-time, part-time, as locums, or are self-employed. Our mission is to support those who dedicate their careers to caring for others by ensuring they have financial security when they need it most. We’re looking for a Sales Development Executive to join our team, engaging with customers who have already expressed interest in our services. This is an exciting opportunity to use your veterinary and broader healthcare or sales background in a new way, develop your skills, and be part of a company that truly values its people.
Why Join Us?
Vibrant & Supportive Office Atmosphere – Work in a friendly, open-plan office where teamwork and collaboration are key. Flexible Working – While this role is primarily office-based, there may be some opportunities for remote working. Full Training Provided – Previous sales experience would be an advantage. We provide comprehensive training over your first two months to give you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.
Exciting Industry Events – You’ll attend major veterinary and healthcare conferences, including BSAVA, BVNA, and BEVA, representing the company and building valuable connections.
Great Benefits Package – Enjoy a competitive salary, performance-related bonuses, income protection, life insurance, a workplace pension, and a healthcare cash plan after passing your probation period.
Career Growth Opportunities – Be part of a growing business where hard work and dedication are recognised, with opportunities for progression and development.
What You'll Be Doing:
Engaging with Veterinary & Healthcare Professionals – Speaking to potential clients who have shown interest in our Income Protection plans, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the application process.
Managing Applications – Helping customers complete their applications, ensuring all necessary details are provided, and following up as needed.
Building Relationships – Providing an excellent customer experience by answering queries, offering support, and ensuring they feel confident in their decisions.
Following Up & Staying Organised – Keeping track of customer interactions, sending follow-up emails or calls, and ensuring applications progress smoothly.
Hitting Targets – Working towards individual and team targets, with support and training to help you succeed. Supporting the Sales Team – Assisting with reporting, maintaining relationships with partners, and contributing to a positive team culture.
Attending Industry Events – Representing the company at key conferences and exhibitions, networking with potential clients and partners.
What We're Looking For:
Veterinary or Healthcare Background (Desirable) – This role would be ideal for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) looking to apply their skills in a new way.
Strong Communication Skills – You’re a confident speaker, great at explaining things clearly and building rapport, with a good telephone manner.
Customer-Focused Approach – You genuinely enjoy helping people and providing excellent service.
Resilience & Adaptability – Sales isn’t always easy, but you thrive on challenges and keep a positive attitude.
Attention to Detail & Organisation – You can manage multiple conversations, keep track of customer progress, and follow up effectively.
A Proactive Mindset – You take initiative, look for opportunities, and work well in a team. Tech-Savvy – Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and learning new systems. A Full UK Driving Licence – Essential for attending events and meetings when required.
