Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding
Offering a salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience.
Additional benefits plus a car allowance and bonuses.
Based in Leicestershire, but this will be a field-based position.
We are working with a leading Freight and Logistics organisation who are seeking a Sales Executive to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be experienced in General Freight Forwarding, but will need to have a focus in Air and Sea, across both Imports and Exports.
Our client is based in the Leicestershire area, where applicants will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of 1 day per week, with the other days being out on the road visiting new, potential and existing clients. A monthly car allowance will be provided for this.
You’ll be working alongside established inside sales and customer service teams to seek and hunt new opportunities, building strategic relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Generate and secure new customer accounts within an assigned territory.
* Conduct sales presentations, producing tenders and proposals for new business.
* Monitor and report on current developments in the market, as well as information on potential customers.
* Create customised logistics solutions for complex customer needs.
* Represent the organisation at industry trade shows and networking events.
* Ensuring all rate tariffs are up-to-date with industry trends, ensuring maximum profit and little loss.
Required Experience:
* Experience in an outside sales position, with a proven ability to secure new business.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
* Strong industry knowledge of multimodal operations, with a focus in Air and Sea, across both Imports and Exports.
* Valid driving licence with the ability and flexibility to travel and be on the road.
* Advanced negotiation skills, with a professional demeanour.
