Role: Junior Sous Chef

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a recently refurbished country house, which caters for events, and they are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join their team.

What’s involved?
1. Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the sous chef and head chef.
2. Help in the design, testing, and implementation of the menu.
3. Produce high-quality plates for customers in both design and taste.
4. Assist with inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, and management of supplies.
5. Ensure that food is high quality, and that kitchen is in good, clean, and hygienic condition.
6. Keep work and food prep stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
7. Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance, menu options, and service levels.
8. Monitor and maintain the kitchen equipment, and arrange repairs and service as needed.
