We are looking for an experienced leader to support and manage a team within the Applications and Telephony team. The key responsibilities of role are to: • Administer the blue badge & bus pass schemes • Manage the contract for our blue badge independent medical assessors (IMA) • Line management of the Applications and telephony teams • System administrator for the room booking system • Manage the telephony service including a small team of staff who deal with adult social care in-bound contact • Manage the Council’s resident parking permit scheme • Act as an escalation point for enquiries and complaints You will have a working knowledge of the blue badge and bus pass schemes and work alongside another Operational Lead to manage the general telephony service including the telephony system and performance reporting. You will manage a group of specialist initial contact telephony advisors for adult social care service. To be successful in this role: • You will ideally have a working knowledge of the blue badge and bus pass schemes along with the ability to interpret and implement any changes that take place to national guidance. • You will have experience of managing a telephony service. • You will have line management experience. • You will have excellent communication and customer service skills. This role will be offered on a hybrid basis (blend of working from home and office). To meet the demands of this role, the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office at least twice a week.
