Role Overview
The Kitchen Manager oversees daily kitchen operations, ensuring top-quality food, safety, and customer satisfaction. From managing the team to menu innovation and cost control, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
This fast-paced, hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about food, leadership, and innovation in hospitality. You’ll thrive in a high-energy kitchen, especially during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
1. Kitchen Team Management
o Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing team.
o Create schedules that ensure efficient kitchen operations.
2. Food Preparation & Quality Control
o Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
o Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
3. Inventory & Cost Management
o Manage stock levels, place orders, and control inventory.
o Minimize waste and maintain food cost control within budget guidelines.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
o Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
o Promote a safe and clean working environment.
5. Menu Development & Innovation
o Design, update, and execute seasonal menus aligned with the venue’s concept.
o Experiment with new recipes and ensure diverse, high-quality offerings.
6. Collaboration & Communication
o Work closely with front-of-house staff for seamless service.
o Address guest feedback and adjust kitchen operations as needed.
7. Supplier & Vendor Relations
o Build strong relationships with suppliers to source quality ingredients.
o Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Skills & Attributes
1. Essential Skills
o Proven experience in kitchen leadership or management.
o Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
o Knowledge of food safety and compliance regulations.
o Time management and problem-solving skills under pressure.
o Budgeting and cost control expertise.
o Creativity and innovation in menu development.
o Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Legal Requirements
1. Eligibility to work in the country where the role is based.
2. An up-to-date bank account in your name.

Physical Requirements
1. Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
2. Ability to lift up to 20-30 kg / 45 lb.
3. Comfortable working in a high-temperature, fast-paced kitchen environment.
