We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama Teacher on behalf of an energetic secondary school where creativity and expression are at the heart of learning.
As the Drama Teacher, you’ll lead students in exploring theatre arts, building confidence, and developing creative skills. You’ll inspire students to express themselves, collaborate with others, and embrace performance in a supportive and dynamic environment. From devising engaging lesson plans to directing school productions, you’ll play an essential role in nurturing student's talents and fostering a love for drama. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and imaginative drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire students to develop performance, communication, and teamwork skills
Plan, produce, and direct school performances and drama showcases
Foster a safe and encouraging atmosphere where students feel confident expressing themselves
Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate creative arts across the curriculum
Track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them reach their potential
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience teaching drama in a secondary setting
A passion for drama and the arts, with the ability to inspire students
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
A creative approach to teaching and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
The ability to lead, direct, and support extracurricular productions and drama clubs
