Summary
An opportunity has arisen in our L&D department for a Learning and Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expertise in L&D, working collaboratively with other members of the L&D Team to agree and outline the design and delivery of classroom and on the job training. ·
• Lead and plan the annual calendar of development training delivery, obtaining agreement from relevant department leads on training hours and content to be delivered, linking with talent reviews and succession planning.
• Fully explore and utilise the capability of the in house LMS system (Cranswick Core), generic L&D inbox and training calendar. ·
• Identify suitable SMEs for on the job and classroom training and where required provide Train the Trainer and on the job coaching in line with Group and audit requirements.
• Conduct in depth training needs analysis and design, develop and implement fit for purpose, blended L&D material.
• Manage, develop and deliver onsite management development programmes for Team Leaders, Supervisors and Shift Managers, delivering engaging, blended learning solutions to support with people management, personal development and increasing line manager capability.
• Lead the onsite graduate, apprenticeship and engineering pathways providing structure and clear plans for people joining the business.
• Lead the L&D team to ensure excellent customer service to the site in regard to training and development.
• Design, develop and deliver training offerings for department managers and senior managers.
1. Accountable for the build and delivery of the L&D site plan every year to ensure the site can deploy the skills it needs to meet business demands.
• Support with the delivery and facilitation of appropriate technical certifications as appropriate.
• Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of competency frameworks for all roles – including operatives, skilled ops, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and managers, providing employees with clear pathway for their personal development.
• Develop and maintain suitable communication channels for the delivery of all training information to employees and managers.
• Explore, implement, and maintain digital solutions for training design and delivery, feedback tracking and demonstration of return on investment.
• Responsible for the central training database- training records, digital certificates, compliance, and procedural renew dates and audit information.
• Develop and maintain a training catalogue, L&D SharePoint and other tools working collaboratively to showcase the L&D offering for the site.
Desirable experience & abilities
2. Experience of working in an L&D or Training role which has included training development, delivery and facilitation skills to senior stakeholders.
3. Competent to design, develop and implement blended content and L&D solutions in a wide range of topics and at senior levels.
4. Holds a training qualification (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
5. Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment and with a varied workload.
6. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
7. Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office (e-mail, Word, Excel, Access, Project, etc).
8. Experience of using and recording training data through an LMS.
9. Knowledge of up-to-date training delivery methods, tools, software, and resources.
