Smyth & Co. is proud to be recruiting for an outstanding Head Chef for an exclusive outdoor dining restaurant within a luxury boutique hotel, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. This unique role offers the chance to lead a 10-cover outdoor tasting menu concept, focused on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and an exceptional grill and open fire cooking experience.
The Role:
As Head Chef, you will have full creative control, designing and delivering a multi-course tasting menu for an intimate group of diners. The role is perfect for a chef who thrives on attention to detail and the art of creating unforgettable dining experiences in an outdoor setting.
Working with a 1-person kitchen supported by an experienced front-of-house team, youll have the autonomy to run the kitchen efficiently and ensure that every dish reflects the very best of locally sourced meats and produce. This is a 5-night service role, offering a great balance between career and lifestyle in a stunning rural location.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a seasonal tasting menu, with a focus on open fire and grill techniques.
* Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and cost control.
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
* Collaborate closely with the FOH team to ensure a seamless, exceptional guest experience from kitchen to table.
What Were Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a tasting menu or fine dining environment.
* Expertise in grill and open fire cooking.
* A passion for locally sourced ingredients and creating innovative, seasonal dishes.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a 1-person kitchen.
* Experience in delivering outdoor dining services is a plus.
* Must live locally or be willing to relocate to the Cotswolds.
