1. The Children’s Advice and Duty Service has been effective since October 2018 and provides a single point of contact for professionals, children and their families who have concerns relating to children in Norfolk.
2. Those working within the service will offer consultation and expert advice to referrers in order that safe and timely decisions are made about children.
3. This role has been developed to ensure that children receive support from services that are best placed to meet their needs.
4. The Children’s Advice and Duty Service Consultant Social Workers will discuss the concerns with the referrer, negotiate and agree a pathway for the child going forward. This may include offering advice and guidance through coaching partner agencies raising the concern.
