This exciting role offers the chance to inspire Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students through both subjects. Role & Responsibilities:
As an English and Drama Teacher, your role will include:
Planning and Delivering Lessons: Develop and teach engaging, high-quality lessons in both English and Drama, tailored to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Assessing Student Progress: Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
Encouraging Creativity: Foster a classroom environment where creativity and self-expression are encouraged, particularly in Drama performances and English literature discussions.
Collaborating Across Departments: Work with colleagues in both the English and Drama departments to deliver a cohesive and stimulating curriculum.
Supporting Student Development: Provide pastoral care and guidance, helping students build confidence and resilience.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Lead or assist with extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs or school productions, to further enrich students' learning experiences.
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an individual who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or expertise in teaching English and Drama (unqualified teachers with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply).
Has a strong passion for teaching English and Drama to secondary school students.
Is DBS registered on the update system or willing to obtain one.
Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Is adaptable and able to work effectively in different teaching environments.
Has a passion for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and academic success in students.
