Human Resource Generalist
We’re seeking a proactive self-starter who takes initiative and drives results, someone who can step in and effectively execute tasks with minimal guidance to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting the HR department in a wide range of activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, data entry, compliance, and administrative tasks. You will ensure smooth HR operations, provide employee support, and foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Accountabilities
1. Serve as business partner by providing subject matter expertise in various areas of human resources.
2. Partner with management to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting and retention.
3. Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
4. Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
5. Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
6. Assist with the design and implementation of the performance management process.
7. Maintain current knowledge of employment practices, assist with policy review, updates the Employee Handbook and make recommendations for changes as appropriate.
8. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
2. Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Ability to relate and build rapport with internal staff and external candidates and organizations required.
4. Strong time management, organization and problem-solving skills required.
5. The ability to work independently with shifting priorities is a must.
6. Ability to multi-task along with demonstrated initiative and focus on delivering high quality results leading to improvements in current business operations.
Hybrid Work Schedule
* Optional work from home days are Mondays and Fridays.
* Required in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
* Travel will be required several times a month between our Fort Worth and Dallas office locations. Travel to other locations occasionally.
Additional Requirements
1. Physical ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
2. Must be comfortable with periodically lifting 25 pounds.
