We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assume the role of Network Hardware Tester at Equipment HQ Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the quality of network and server hardware products. This includes performing functional and performance testing on various hardware components, validating features, configurations, and firmware to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Key responsibilities will include testing and quality assurance, documentation, and learning and development. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of network and server hardware components, familiarity with networking protocols and hardware interfaces, and knowledge of secure data wiping processes and tools. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
Preferred qualifications include experience with hardware test automation tools or scripting languages, familiarity with hardware testing environments, and relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain detailed and accurate test logs, defect reports, and test documentation. o Perform functional and performance testing on network and server hardware, including routers, switches, servers, and storage devices
o Validate hardware features, configurations, and firmware to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards
o Perform secure data wiping on network and server devices to ensure that all sensitive data is thoroughly erased
o Document and verify the data wiping process to maintain compliance with data security standards
o Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues through testing and debugging
