Sous Chef
Barluga Morpeth are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Sous Chef to join the team. Drive and passion for great food using fresh produce is at the heart of Barluga, and we are looking for a Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team aid in this.
Barluga is located in the town centre of Morpeth in Sanderson Arcade, with good public transport links to Newcastle and Northumberland.

As a Sous Chef responsibilities include:
* Preparing and producing high quality, consistent dishes, in both design and taste.
* Assisting with menu planning and direction, whilst working with the team to run seasonal specials.
* Overseeing and supervising kitchen staff.
* Complying with food safety standards, knowledge of EHO and safety practices.
* Training and mentoring of kitchen staff.
* Ordering produce with our suppliers, and monitoring and maintaining kitchen supplies.
What we're looking for in a Sous Chef:
* Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients and procedures.
* Management and leadership skills.
* Proven experience in a kitchen management role.
* Food safety level 3 desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge and experience in menu writing, costings and GP.
