About the position
Reporting to the AVS Business Unit (BU) President located in Europe, the HR Director will take full responsibility in our global organization to improve our business, its growth and people processes. The role is preferred from our Leicester, UK facility but other locations within Europe will be considered.
You will play an integral role in our leadership team, where you will actively support the BU leaders to reach business goals through an engaging and inclusive approach and strong HR agenda.
As the BU HR Director you will lead, direct, and implement the organization’s human resource strategy to attract, develop and retain our employees to achieve current and future strategic objectives. Working on longer term as well as daily tactical items to support the strategy execution and business success.
Responsibilities include
1. Strategic Planning: establish an overall HR Services strategic plan to align with the global company’s strategic goals and support business growth and financial objectives.
2. Policy and Process Development: define and implement projects, processes, policies, and procedures to deploy the strategic plan effectively.
3. HR Services Management: Manage key HR Services areas, including Compensation and Benefits, HR reporting and analytics, and HR Management System Tools.
4. Process Improvement: Continuously improve HR processes and procedures to support the company’s business growth and efficiency.
5. Advisory: Provide strategic advisory to business leaders to help them drive growth and profitability, including definition of global staffing needs, workforce planning and right/downsizing projects
6. Mentoring, coaching, and developing a community of HR Professionals within our organization.
7. Reporting and Controlling: Develop and drive HR reporting and controlling mechanisms to monitor and enhance HR performance.
8. Talent Management: Manage all key HR processes across the employee lifecycle; including Talent Acquisition and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Development, Employer Branding, and Employee Engagement.
9. Support our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and Employee Engagement agenda.
10. Communicate, interpret, and coordinate HR policies.
11. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations within our global structure.

About the ideal candidate
This position calls for an individual who is educated as a minimum to bachelor’s degree level (or equivalent) in human resources, business administration or a related field. You will be an established HR Professional with at least five years’ experience in a similar role and can display dynamic leadership in an international setting. A background in a manufacturing operations environment is preferred with demonstrable commercial and strategic awareness and application. Ability to transform business needs into consistent, efficient HR solutions and to engage people and influence decisions at all levels. Communication is a key part of this role, and you must be able to demonstrate an adaptable and professional communication style to build relationships and business networks. Frequent international travel will also be required.
