Key Responsibilities
* Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL processes to ingest data from multiple sources into Power BI.
* Data Preparation: Clean, transform, and model data to meet reporting and analytics requirements for Power BI dashboards.
* Optimisation: Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance, scalability, and efficient query execution in PowerBI.
* Data Quality and Integrity: Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting.
* Collaboration with Analysts: Work closely with analysts and reporting team members to understand data requirements and provide clean, structured data sets for analysis.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also be required to create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and transformations to support efficient team collaboration and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have many years of experience in data engineering, data preparation, or ETL development, preferably in a reporting or analytics environment. Technical skills such as proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL tools, as well as experience with Power BI data transformation and Power Query, are highly desirable.
