Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join the central funding group as an Associate/VP, Securities Finance, Trader in London. You will assist senior traders in negotiating, managing, and executing triparty repo and reverse repo financing, stock borrowing and lending and total return swap funding trades.
What will you do?
* Price and execute bilateral and triparty reverse repo, repo, stock borrow and loan and equity derivative transactions
* Price and execute FX and Interest Rate derivatives
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within RBC and group clients
* Optimise collateral schedules in line with Group policy and monitor collateral exceptions on a daily basis.
* Measure and agree daily Client and Security Risk
* Manage risks inherent to book and reconciling Risk, Counterparty Credit, Liquidity and other reports
* Timely and accurate booking of trades
* Reconcile daily trading activity, cash balances, bookings and PNL.
* Enhance and develop existing processes using VBA, Perl and other scripting languages.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
* Master’s degree educated or equivalent
* A strong interest in Capital Markets and experience within a similar position would be advantageous
* Strong analytic ability
* Project Management
* Ability to perform under periods of pressure
* Good communication skills at various levels of seniority
* Some programming skills required to manipulate VBA spreadsheets and Perl scripts.
* Knowledge of derivatives pricing
* Knowledge of securities finance products and operational flows.
Nice to have
* Knowledge of Financial regulation
* Experience using FO systems and Bloomberg
