Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as an Assistant Coordinator with UCLAN.
UCLAN is currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of disability-related support services within the Inclusive Support Coordination Team. You will play a vital role in managing support schedules, liaising with internal colleagues and external providers, and being the first point of contact for both staff and service users. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of students and make a meaningful impact on their university experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in coordinating internal and external non-medical helper services, including managing support schedules and liaising with providers.
2. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with UCLan financial regulations.
3. Be the first point of contact for Student Wellbeing Ambassadors, BSL interpreters, and support workers.
4. Coordinate support for disabled students, including processing referrals and monitoring interim support arrangements.
5. Support recruitment, training, and induction for Student Wellbeing Ambassadors and ensure accurate rostering and timetable planning.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in administration or customer service, particularly in a student-facing role.
2. Excellent IT literacy and experience managing complex data systems.
3. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
4. A degree or higher diploma qualification.
5. Knowledge of disability legislation and inclusive practices.
