Our county-wide Norfolk & Waveney Perinatal Community Mental Health service are excited to be continuing to expand and are looking to recruit an additional Perinatal Community Team Manager for our East Norfolk patch. This is an opportunity to work within a specialist multi-disciplinary setting, which offers a wide range of MDT clinical specialisms. We are looking for someone who has excellent clinical skills, experience in clinical and operational leadership and a passion for mental health. It is an exciting time to be working in the perinatal world as the services are rapidly expanding, there are opportunities for additional training/ development.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Therapies team, Case Managers, Social Workers, Peer Support Workers, Nursery Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Community Team Managers, and a Service Manager specialising in perinatal mental health.
In this role you will provide operational leadership to the team. You will also work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and provide clinical support for the team as needed.
The Community Team Manager will collaborate with key partners and stakeholders across health, maternity, social care and other sectors to support and drive service development participating in various NHS East of England Perinatal Clinical Network activities, ensuring that key performance targets and national standards are met.
Main duties of the job
This is an opportunity to work within a specialist multi-disciplinary setting, which offers a wide range of MDT clinical assessments and treatments, specific specialist perinatal therapeutic individual and group interventions. We promote a strong service user led participation culture as well as supporting partners and families.
The successful candidate will support individual staff with developing their performance in their clinical work, as well as supporting with safeguarding and quality assurance. This post requires a dynamic individual with excellent leadership skills to work innovatively and confidently.
This post offers an opportunity to work as a senior member of the leadership team, working within our multi-disciplinary team (MDT) which includes psychology, social work, occupational therapy, parent-infant psychotherapists, nursery nurses, peer support workers and other key disciplines.

Job responsibilities
Knowledge of Perinatal mental health conditions and related services is desirable but not essential.
* To provide daily leadership to the team and ensure the provision of high quality.
* To ensure high quality individualised person centre standards of care are delivered to all patients.
* Ensure the effective supervision and development of staff.
* To lead promoting respect and advocacy for all service users.
* To be an active participant in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments.
* Liaise effectively with MDT to assess and manage risks identified through assessment of patients.
* To regularly review risk factors and work in conjunction with the MDT to modify care plans as appropriate.
* To ensure that clinical practice is evidenced based and consistent with relevant NICE guidelines and the organisations policies and procedures.
* To undertake management supervision to further develop competence and clinical practice.
* To liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the care process, including carers and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to our service users.
* Lead and manage allocated resources effectively through efficient resource allocation, skill mixes, and utilisation of equipment and authorisation of bank/agency staff as designated by senior management team.
* Participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including the management and reporting of incidents.
* Deputise for the service manager as and when required.

* Able to demonstrate sound clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health disorders and their treatments.
