Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor looking for a new challenge In-house? Join a leading UK business based in the East Midlands as an Employment Counsel and play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice to ensure the company's compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of employment law, ensuring the company remains fully compliant with current legislation.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with the HR department, understanding and supporting their objectives and priorities.
* Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory changes, ensuring the business is prepared and responsive to evolving employment law.
* Provide expert guidance on data protection issues in relation to employee data and HR processes.
* Report directly to the Head of Legal and work collaboratively with other departments to mitigate risk and resolve legal challenges.
About You:
* Qualified solicitor with 8 years+ PQE and significant experience in employment law, ideally gained within a commercial or in-house setting.
* Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and best practices.
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships with HR teams and senior management.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and accessible way.
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of data protection law and its application in an employment context.
