SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a company based in Gloucester in their search for an Assistant Accountant.
Reporting into a supportive and down to earth Finance Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience in a growing and ever evolving business.
The successful Assistant Accountant will be tasked with supporting the Finance Manager with month end journal posting, inter-company reconciliations, accruals and prepayments as well as supporting with treasury management.
Role:
1. Support with month end process including journals, accruals and prepayments
2. Maintenance of the balance sheet including fixed assets
3. Support with posting of transactions
4. Inter-company reconciliation of high volume of company bank accounts
5. Support with year end
6. Ad hoc accounting duties as required
Requirements:
1. AAT Qualified
2. Ideally from a Manufacturing background
3. Working towards an accounting qualification
4. Knowledge of Sage 50
5. Good Excel Skills
6. At least 3 years experience in accounting, ideally in a multi-site environment
