Senior Ecologist - Aldershot We are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join an environmental company based in Aldershot. As a Senior Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to lead and deliver a wide variety of ecological projects, ranging from habitat assessments and biodiversity surveys to environmental impact assessments. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and a talented team of experts to shape the future of conservation efforts while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.You will have the chance to lead impactful projects and contribute to the company's continued success and expansion. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage ecological surveys, assessments, and reports to ensure compliance with environmental legislation. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ecologists, supporting their professional development. Manage projects, including budget oversight, client communication, and ensuring the timely delivery of work. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, architects, and developers, to integrate ecological considerations into design and development projects. Foster and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities to grow the business. Keep up to date with environmental legislation, best practices, and industry trends. Requirements: A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A Member the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) is advantageous, Significant experience in ecological consultancy, including habitat and species surveys, and environmental impact assessments. Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ecological information clearly.
